Hi! This is me.
I am shaped by my mom’s gift for finding beauty anywhere she goes.
I am influenced by my dad’s ability to make others feel comfortable and at ease.
I have a deep appreciation for the way love shows up in many different forms throughout our lives.
I firmly believe that love should be celebrated in the big moments and in the little moments.
I was lucky enough to grow up in the beautiful province of Nova Scotia, Canada- a magical place where the ocean is never more than a 30-minute drive away, and where you can find the highest tides in the world. Nova Scotia is where I truly learned to recognize the importance of slowing down to appreciate your surroundings; there’s always so much beauty to be found right at home.
I left a very large piece of my heart in Nova Scotia when I moved to Europe, and I know I’ll always be looking for excuses to fly home. You can find my travel dates here.
I moved to Germany in August 2020. I fell in love with the idea of living in Europe when my sister and I backpacked through Ireland, England, France, Switzerland and Italy in the summer of 2015; fast forward to 2019 and I found myself living in Malta for six months; fast forward AGAIN to 2021 and I’m wandering the cobblestone streets of a beautiful West-German town that I now call home.
Life is such an amazing adventure.
Lastly: bits and pieces of things that bring me joy, in video format. 2020 was dedicated to family. It was listening more closely to the lessons shared by my grandparents, and developing a deeper gratitude for the fact that I am who I am thanks to a whole lot of people who existed before me. So what you see in this video are clips from my family’s favourite little haven up in New Brunswick, and what you’re hearing is 1) thoughtful advice given my mom’s uncle Stu, 2) my grandma telling the story of how she and my grandpa met, and 3) my grandma telling us a bit about how my parents met, from her perspective. Bits and pieces of my heart.
